Anime film, which has revealed that the Japanese release will include Japanese subtitles, English subtitles and Chinese subtitles. The Blu-ray and DVD are scheduled to release in Japan on July 26, with the Blu-ray being region free.

All editions of the film will come with Japanese audio with Japanese subtitles, English subtitles and Chinese subtitles. The audio options allow viewers to choose between the original Japanese version of RADWIMPs’ “Zen Zen Zense” or the English versions the group recorded for some of the film’s overseas screenings.

At the end of April we reported that the film had crossed $4 Million USD (¥440 Million Yen) at the box office. In total, the film has earned over $353 Million USD worldwide (¥39.2 Billion Yen), as the highest grossing anime film of all time, as of April 23.

North American anime licensor and distributor Funimation has revealed that the film has earned over $1.81 Million USD (¥201 Million Yen) at the North American box office across 303 screens in its opening weekend beginning on April 7, and ranked #13 at the box office. The film has earned over $3.4 Million USD (¥374 Million Yen) by the end of its second weekend. Across the region, the movie has earned an average of $5, 832 USD per screen.
